| Howard Rakov - 1955 to Present Joined Troop 4 as Tenderfoot Scout, 1955 Earned Eagle Scout in 1958 Joined Troop 4 Committee in 1962 Became official Scoutmaster in 1967 Awarded Bronxville Scout Committee's "Scouter of the Year Award" in 1977 Awarded National BSA Silver Beaver Award "for service to youth" in 1990 Awarded (as first recipient) Four Rivers District Leroy Nanton Award in 1999 Father and both sons are Eagle Scouts as well First attended old Camp Waubeeka in 1955; taken Troop to old & new Waubeeka since 1967. Attended 1957 & 1960 National Scout Jamborees-----1960 as Staff member at the Jamboree with the Order of the Arrow Service Troop. Attended Philmont National Scout Ranch as Council Staff in 1960 Have had the pleasure of a few former Scouts' sons and nephews following in their footsteps as Scouts for a second generation in Troop 4 Bronxville. |
