A bit of modern Troop 4  leadership history:

 

      In the mid-1950’s:  FRED STOCK JR. was unofficially Scoutmaster since he was a high school student at Iona Prep ( and thus not yet the required “21 years old” to officially be Scoutmaster).  Fred later became Scoutmaster as an adult ( see below).

 

In the late-1950’s:  Mr. CHARLES EGGLETON ( father of Scout Chip Eggleton)

                                   Mr. IRA SIEGEL

1959-1961: HOWARD RAKOV (unofficially since Howard was a student in Roosevelt High School).

                    Mr. PAUL GALANKA was listed on the charter.  He was happy to take us camping ( to “keep the Outing in Scouting” = a Troop 4 tradition); since his “day job” was NYC Shop Teacher in the public schools he couldn’t bring himself to do evenings with more boys as an active Scoutmaster.

1961-1962: Mr. Wm TANSEY (father of Scout Billy Tansey)

1962-1964: Mr. FRED STOCK, Jr.

1964-1966: Mr. JIM LaMAR

1967- Present: Dr. Howard A. Rakov
