Can my son join as a Wolf/Bear/Webelo Scout even if he
wasn’t a Tiger/Wolf/Bear Scout?
Pack 5 meets the third Friday of every month during
the school year (September through May).
Pack 5 meets at the Bronxville Scout Cabin at
Any boy from first grade through fifth grade (or 7,
8, 9, and 10 years of age), from the Bronxville, NY area.
Registration for new Scouts is held at the Scout
Cabin in Bronxville in June and September of each year, and at the Memorial Day
fair. If you missed these, please
contact the Cubmaster to get an application form (See our Contacts
page to get the Cubmaster’s name/phone/email).
Dues are $65 per boy for the year.
Yes! Scouts
progress from Tiger through Webelo Scouts, and on to Boy Scouts. However, a boy may join at any time. If he was not a Tiger Scout, he joins as a
Bobcat and begins work on the rank suitable for his age. So, for example, if a Boy is in third grade
(and was never a Tiger or Wolf Scout), he would start as a Bobcat and work on
his Bear rank.
The best time to start is at the beginning of the
program year (i.e. September) so the boy can get the full benefit of the
program. But boys are welcome to join at
any time during the year. If it is
October and your son just discovered Scouting, don’t wait a full year, join in
October!
