The Village Medal

is awarded annually by

The Trustees of the Village of Bronxville

to the

Boy Scout

Whose School, Home, Employment Record, if any, and Scout Work indicate a Boy of great Promise and real Performance and the one in whom the Village can take Pride. The Scout to whom The Medal is awarded shall be a member of one of the Troops of this Village.  He shall be Nominated for this Award by his Scoutmaster And he shall be Selected by a Court of Review, sitting in camera, composed of:

One of the Trustees of the Village

A member of the Faculty of the Schools.

The Chairman and the Commissioner of the Boy Scout District Committee

The Scout Executive of the Bronx Valley Council.


taking into consideration the written Recommendations of the Scoutmasters and written Reports from the Schools, Church, Home, and Employers, if any. Regard being given to The Scout’s Helpfulness to his Family, his Usefulness to the Community, his General Influence and Character and his Efficiency to Scout Work.
